Welcome to Romare! We are Emanuela and Giuliano, two Italians who moved to Sweden. Our adventure in Säffle is a journey built on passion, commitment, and a dream that continues to grow together with you.

A Dream That Began in 2015 We arrived in Sweden in 2015 with luggage full of hope and a strong desire to share authentic Roman cuisine. Our first years were marked by discovery and hard work, including valuable experiences at places like Ester Café, where we first began to know and love this community.

The Stenmagasinet Chapter (2017–2021) Between 2017 and 2021, we proudly managed Stenmagasinet. Those were four defining years that allowed us to take root in the area and build a relationship of trust with many of you. It was our first true culinary "home" in Säffle, where we laid the foundation for who we are today.

2022: The Birth of Romare and the Trial by Fire In 2022, strengthened by our collective experience and a deep understanding of local tastes, we launched Romare. This venue is more than just a pizzeria; every detail has been designed and cared for by us to reflect exactly who we are. Every corner, from the choice of materials to the kitchen layout, tells the story of our identity and our love for hospitality.

However, fate put us to the test. In March 2025, a fire caused by a technical fault in a fryer forced us into a year-long hiatus. But like a phoenix, we did not give up. We used that time to rebuild everything, improve our operations, and come back even stronger.

2026: We Are Here – Our New Beginning is Today! The long wait is over. 2026 marks our great return. We have "risen from the ashes" with an even larger kitchen, renovated premises, and the determination to pick up right where we left off.

Emanuela focuses on our specialty: pizza inspired by the Pizza Romana style—light, crispy, and innovative, bringing a piece of our roots to your table. Her devotion to the perfect dough extends to all things handcrafted. Emanuela personally creates our handmade products and desserts, which we know have become a "must-have" among our most valued guests in Säffle. From the crunch of the pizza to the sweetness of our pastries, every bite tells the story of our love for cooking.
